christianity is a big part of people's lives. it shapes everything believers say and do (or at least it should if they are believers). anything that has that kind of an influence in your life should be questioned. if you don't question, you become a pupet in the hands of whoever happens to be in authority at the time and can pull the right strings.
having said that, questioning doesn't necessarily lead to the end of faith, and it doesn't have to be rude, or mean. if you can question your faith and it survives, then it survives all the stronger because you questioned, you know why you believe. if it doesn't, then it wasn't that strong to begin with, and you're better off knwoing where you stand.
either way, you should never be at the mercy of anyone or any thing, and that is where you are if you go through life not questioning one of the things that most influences how you live it.
don't be afraid of questions, and don't take them as an attack. they are just questions. they will only hurt you if you try to hide from them.

Some so-called Christians overtly lie in order to promote their beliefs. Honest Christians get caught up in the backlash as the lies are exposed.

I don't taunt those who have their own belief but just as you have the right to say you believe, I have the right to say I don't. I just think religion has too many holes in the story with no proof.. I rather believe in human beings

YOU may not be but plenty of other Christians ARE.
Christians knock on my door to peddle their religion like door to door salesman. Christians follow me down the street preaching, even if I lie and say I'm Catholic just so they'll leave me alone. Christians are trying to ban gay marriage, abortion, and stem cell research. Christians are trying to force prayer in schools (and only Christian prayer is allowed, mind you), and the teaching of intelligent design in the science classroom.
They don't get taunted, they get told to butt out of other peoples lives.
As for why people question it... think about it a little...
A snake talks, a stick turns into a snake, a sea parts, a man is born the son of a god through immaculate conception, then he walks on water and turns water into wine, then he rises three days after death to rise and command his subjects one last time... And there's even more of that.
There's as much fantasy in the bible as there is in a Piers Anthony novel but at least Piers Anthony admits its fiction.

What, you, one Christian is not taunting others. That does not mean that others have not.
The 'war of fools' has been at least two sided. You need another eye - you seem to be seeing a speck in your neighbors eye before a log in your own. (As the J-man says)

Why Christianity? This is an English language site, and Christianity is the main English religion.
Why "taunting" -- eh, it's something to do. :)

I believe it's natural for someone to question you about something they don't understand. It's not necessarily taunting. If they are carious about your religion why do you find a reluctance to enlighten them.
