i have been diagnosed with TMJ. My biggest symptom is face and ear pain. My question is ever since this started 9 months ago i have been to a lot of doctors and i have sinus problems and it feels like something is stuck in my throat all of the time and some times diffaculty swallowing. like I said I have been to ear nose and throat doctors. and nobody has found anything wrong . But I know the symptoms in my throat are there. So could this be a symptom of tmj, the sinus and throat area.

No, I don't think so. I think it's a separate issue. The ear pain is normal but the sinus problems are not. The sinus problems are probably causing the throat problems since your sinuses could be draining into your throat and the mucus can often be very sticky and get caught right in a spot where it feels like its choking you. I have that problem. Perhaps seeing an allergist could help? They could test you and see if an allergy is causing the chronic sinus problem and they can give you a nose spray that, using sparingly since it can cause nose bleeds, can help with the drainage and the "choking" thing.

I have TMJ but it does not seem related. I helped my sinus problem with Neil Med Sinus Rinse. There are others on the market also. Go to your local pharmacy and look around (this is not an average saline spray) it actually flushes out your sinuses and then they can heal.
I has helped me a lot. Good luck. Be sure to read and follow instructions on any sinus rinse product.

It's doubtful but maybe pressure on a nerve due to TMJ is causing the throat sensations.

Not that I am aware of. I have had TMJ all my life (i'm 30) and the only pain I have is muscle ache from chewing and headaches, temple pain and neck, shoulder pain. I would see the dentist or othodontist that is/will be treating your TMJ and ask them.

If your tmj is caused by a growth or tumor in the joint, maybe.
