No carrots or tomatoes either. Only canned and citrus fruits. IT SUCKS! Raw fruit makes my mouth itch, and my throat close up!!!

Yes, I'm allergic to pineapples, very badly!! Also, when peaches are really ripe and oranges. If I eat pineapple, my throat closes and the others, I get hives in and around my mouth! It hurts. There is a protein associated with the citric acid that is the culprit. Even if I cook them, it still doesn't help. So, I just stick to the ones I can eat and take supplements. Just be careful when you go to restaurants (esp. Chinese) to ask what is in your entree AND the sauces! You might want to go get checked out from an allergist too, so they can confirm and give you an Epipen (tm) just in case something slips by you, if you haven't already. Not sure if you just wanted to know if there are others out here like you or if you wanted to know signs/symptoms or what not. Other things are eczema, severe stomache cramps, severe abdominal cramps, diarrhea, rash, hives and some people's conjunctiva (the inside of your eyelids) swells and can pop out. That's what happens to my sister-in-law when she eats watermelon!! Best wishes and good luck hon!

I used to be allergic to nearly all raw fruits and vegetables. They would make me itch and break out in a rash. I did not even have to swallow the food to have a reaction. Just getting watermelon juice on my skin would make me break out.
Well, I went to an allergy specialist to get desensitation shots for my hayfever. After being on the shots for five years, my allergy to raw fruits and vegetables went away. Now I can eat them with no problem.

Yes, and also raw vegetables. I have to eat everthing cooked or steamed. Salads are out.
