U have a few options here. You could tell him how u feel and see if its worth it to blow a once and lifetime opp or u could go on take this wonderful opp and keep in touch with your friend and in time he could come be with u. I really think u should take the opp cause things like that dont come around to often but there are plenty of good eligible mates

Wow what a wonderfull chance for you to go and see the world, make some good money meet new people. You should definetly go. It may be that when you are gone this guy will realize how he feels about you and if you keep in touch with him he can let you know. However, he may not have feelings for you the same way you do about him. Point is you never ever sacrifice a good thing for yourself for anyone else. True love is supportive, encouraging and never wants you to be unhappy. Try the job. Give it a chance and if you don't like it you can always come home. I missed so many oppurtunities because I thought I was in love. College was something I gave up to be with my true love and we were together 3 years had a daughter, then we got married. Two weeks later he left me. So I've spent the last 16 years raising my daughter alone. I sacrificed everything for this man and he really screwed me over. If you and this man were meant to be it will happen. However, it is a big world and many many men out there. Give yourself the chance to pursue your career and see where it takes you. Good luck.

I think you should tell the guy how you feel about him. Right now you're just guessing about the way he feels for you. Tell him and you will know for sure and that will make your decision so much the easier to make.

Personally, I would say take the job. Opportunities like this does not come around often. You could end up with the best of both worlds. Tell him how you feel and also tell him about this opportunity. He may say that he feels the same about you and will wait for you.

This guy must be pretty special if you think about staying! I think you should confront this guy and tell him how you feel, even though that seems bold. I mean, you can't wait around forever right? If he ends up liking you, then the chance you took on telling him your feelings was worth it and you should probably stay and see how things work, because you can find a job later in life too i think. But, if you tell him how you feel and he doesnt feel that way back, that will help you to sign up for this job opportunity! Tell him how you feel, you cant lose if you do! Good luck!

You said it yourself: if it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, you need to ask yourself: If I don't go, will I always wonder "what if" and kick yourself for not doing it? If you think you'll regret not going, sign up, and go!

A bird in the hand (the job) is worth two in the bush (maybe he will love me, maybe we will live and prosper together)

Go after your dream. You will feel very disappointed and have regrets later if you stay and don't take the job.
