Yes. But in comparison to John Paul II; he's a 'conservative' --(in an interview with '30 Days' he was told he was a conservative; and he laughed and said "no, I'm not a conservative but next to my colleagues I appear that way") --enough said.

The Pope is busy dealing with a lot of the mess he helped make, after the end of the 2nd Vatican Council.
