Which resort is better, If I am only going for the day.
Lake Louise, or Sunshine??

Well, personally, i love Lake Louise much better, I ski there all the time. Sunshine is an outstanding resort as well. Lake Louise is much farther of a drive from Banff than Sunshine, but, Sunshine you have to take about a 30 min. Gondola ride to the Village base, and that is going through the Goat's Eye station. For Louise, the best area is the Larch area I find. If you are really up for a challenge, try the Summit Platter....good stuff up there, and way above the tree line. It can be extremely windy up there, and the platter lift can hurt your butt a lot....and very hard on the legs/knees as it's like a t-bar, but goes between your legs and hooks on to your behind! Fun stuff. Enjoy your day skiing, whichever mountain you go too!

Both are really fine skiing and nice places, but I would have to agree with the others and choose Lake Louise. There is a reason it has hosted a number of World Ski events. They even have a run named after Picabo Street, and the food at the station on Ptarmigan trail is great (Burgers on the BBQ as long as the birds don't try to fly off with it...)

I personally prefer Lake Louise for many of the same reasons listed above.

Lake Louise. Scenery alone is worth it.
