Check out the rewards calculator at http://www.creditcardtuneup.com/ . It'll calculate the dollar value of the rewards you would earn with your normal spending on the various rewards cards. It compares airline miles cards, cash back cards, and points cards. You can always just pick the airline miles card that will pay you the greatest dollar value in rewards.

A couple of the better cards for miles are the Citi PremierPass Elite and the Miles Discover card. Citi cards that earn or convert earnings to ThankYou points (e.g. Citi Driver's Edge) are also good options.

When choosing the best airline credit card there are many factors to consider. Do you plan on using a specific airline, or do you want more flexibility?

If you choose a co-branded airline card for a specific airline, you'll have an opportunity to earn much more rewards; especially if you always use that airline. With 'generic' airline credit cards, it will take longer to earn rewards but you'll get the flexibility to travel on any airline-- plus many other great travel rewards. For a complete list of airline credit cards visit:

If you're looking for a generic airline credit card, I would recommend the Chase Flexible Rewards Visa®. The best co-branded card really depends on what airline you prefer.

Hope this helps... and GOOD LUCK!

I have a Citibank Premier rewards Card and I get points on everything including miles. For 25000 points you get to fly anywhere in the country for free with southwest, AA, or ATA. For 50000 you get to fly anywhere in the world for free. Plus if you shop at Target or any specified places you get double points. When you buy airline tickets you get points for the miles you fly and the amount you pay. Very reliable.

Goodluck!
