There are many websites that will do this for you, some for free and some for a charge. Type in credit check in a search engine and many will come up. I've done it without having to join anything.

Go to www.annualcreditreport.com and get your credit report there. Unlike some of the sites, I don't think they try to get you to pay for credit report monitoring (could be wrong). You can get your credit report from any of the three agencies. It would be a good idea to get one now, get another one from a different agency in 4 months, and from the third agency 4 months after that. It's a good way to monitor you credit report periodically through the year. Or you can get then all 3 at once, but you won't be eligible for another free report for a full year.

If you do not need a report very often, you can visit https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp for a free credit report "once every 12 months from each of the nationwide consumer credit reporting companies".

You can get all three reports at once every year, or stagger them throughout the year for a more full coverage.

The site is jointly run by all three U.S. credit reporting companies (Transunion, Equifax, and Experian) to allow every consumer a free report under the FACTA act.

You don't have to join anything. Just go to the free site. I think it is www. myfreecreditreport.com. I got mine and didn't pay for it.
