I'm about to give my g/f the ring, and I want this to be the most special moment!

I've been proposed to twice and by far the best was the treasure hunt.
My BF asked me to get him a bottle of water. In the fridge was a note saying if I looked in the freezer, I'd get a surprise. I opened the freezer and that note sent me to the garage, that note sent me to the bed room, that note sent me to the bath room and that note sent me back to him on bended knee.
We got married and just celebrated our 6th anniversary.

Well, I've been proposed to twice. The first time, he asked if I would be his wife while we were talking one day. The second time, my husband thought it was cute to put my engagment ring on me while I was sleeping. I woke up to a ring on my finger and an "Oh, yeah, I forgot to ask if you'd marry me?"...Comical, but not what I'd suggest. I really like the scavenger hunt idea. The more clues you leave, the more excited she gets, and it will be fun for all. Good luck!

My husband proposed to me at a birthday party he had for me. All of our friends were there and knew he was going to propose (I didn't). He had put my ring in an ice cube tray, and used the "ring" ice cube my drink. All of a sudden, I looked in my drink and thought there was a fly in my ice cube. I went to the kitchen to throw the ice cubes in the sink and EVERYONE at the party yelled: "DON'T at the same time. I got very confused and when I realized what was actually in the ice cube I started screaming (gleefully), my b/f got down on his knees and proposed in front of everyone! He put the ice cube in a coffee mug until it melted. Me and all the other girls at the party sat on "pins and needles" around the mug until the ice cube melted so I could finally see my ring and put it on!

Inventively, creatively and romantically.
Create a moment that is all about HER.
Spend an evening or day doing all the things she likes to do, and then top the day off with the down on one knee proposal.

Do you have a dog? My now husband tie the ring on a satin string around our dog's neck...so adorable...kind of corny, but unforgettable.

The only thing you have to remember is that you love this woman and you want to spend the rest of your life with her. Just start telling her that and i'm sure the words will come pouring out.

(Right after my husband proposed and we hugged and kissed and stuff, he pulled our cordless phone out of his back pocket and said "here, I know you want to call your sister!!")

Good Luck but remember it will be special no matter what!!!

I think you should open a bottle of her favorite wine, if she drinks, get some nice crystal glasses, and throw the ring in the glass. So when you go to make a toast, walla there it is.

Take her somewhere private, get down on one knee, tell her how much you care for her, and ask!
Believe it or not, most women have dreamt of a traditional romantic proposal all their lives.
And they will be telling people your story for years and years.
ROMANTIC and MEANINGFUL are the keys.
DO NOT just hand it to her and say "Here." I've heard of that happening too.

by all means be unique, this is not an everyday thing and women will remember this moment and tell this story for the rest of your lives together, take her to dinner, with her parents and yours, and calmly but with determination ion your voice, ask her father for his permission to marry his daughter, when he says yes, get up go to one knee and ask her, tell her you will honor love and serve her for the rest of your life, i believe that this is the proper way and very romantic and very honorable. and i i ever get the chance to ask a woman to marry me again its the way id do it, best of wishes

Well the traditional one is to "put the ring in to her drink".
