If you have some reason to believe that you will not be able to concieve when you want to, then go ahead and talk to your doctor. If you have health issue that you think may not let you, then it needs to be addressed now, whether you want to have children now or in twenty years.
I can understand your worrying. I'm 18, and definitely do not plan on having a baby for quite a long time, but I have endometriosis, which can lead to infertility. That scares me.
If you have similar issue, then definitely talk to a doctor.
But, if everything is normal, and you get your period regularly, then you should have no reason to worry.
There is nothing wrong with asking your doctor about anything that might be worrying you. : )

Yes you are capable of having kids at 17. You don't need to see a doctor for that.

Ok, let me get this straight you are asking can you conceive but you are not wanting kids right now so why would you say it is wrong if your not wanting too get pregnant right now.
You should know that this is something you should not even be worrying about right now in your life. Think about school and if you will get into college or not.
When you do get older and meet that one that was made for you and you both start trying and if you are not pregnant within a year of trying that is when you go to the doctor to see what is wrong.

If you just started your period less than a year ago there's about a 30% chance that you are regularly ovulating (thats when you can get pregnant)... if you started it over a year ago and your period is regular than you have the same chance as any woman in her 20s or older to get pregnant.... Basically, if you've started your period which im sure you have because you're 17, you can get pregnant. you dont need to go to your doctor to tell that, unless you want to know if you happen to be infertile but since you dont want kids why do you need to know that now?

You are able to conceive. Now days, unfortunately, babies are having babies. Your only 17, don't think about having a child. Cherish your life. There's so much more out there for you to enjoy and experience. I know you dont want kids yet, but just in case.

Yes you are. As soon as you begin your period you are capable of having a baby. Once you start your period, you have started ovulating. If you are having sex, but dont want to get pregnant, you should highly consider taking some form of birth control.

You do not want to put yourself through this long and arduous and expensive schedule unless you have tried all of the other options first. (not unless you want to have dye squirted into your fallopian tubes, having blood drawn 4 times a day for 3-5 days about your ovulation time, frequent pelvic exams...)
when all you have to do is see if his sperm are motile and you have tried to get pregnant for 1 year without success...
good luck

its a bit of a lengthy process ...and invasive at that to test and see if you are able to concieve...i doubt your health insurance would pay for it...and i doubt you would put up with it...its best left until you MUST know...the odds are OVERWHELMINGLY in your favor that you will be able to concieve; when the time is right!
