1. Give in -- argue. Surrender and yield are synonyms of give up. Revolt is more like starting a fight - argue is to continue one.

2. Hideous -- beautiful. Hideous means ugly, so the opposite is beautiful - although I'm not sure what a 'beautiful curse' might be,

Other 2. Defended. 'To defend' means 'to resist attack'

3. I asked her to report at 9:00am; she does not know the reason. There are several other ways - this is simplest.

4. We consider her the best. SVOC = Subject Verb Object Complement.

We = Subject
Consider = Verb
Her = Object
Best = Complement

The answers would be

1/1.A-surrender 2.D-angry.

2.could be numerous things, but for that specific sentence I would think maybe the word fought or resisted.

3. Though she doesnt know the reason, I asked her to report at 9:00Am. or I asked her to report at 9:00 Am, however she doesnt know the reason.

4. I honestly dont know what is meant on this one, but if it means to frame a sentence using the letters given, in that order, then maybe something like, She Vacuumed on an Old Carpet. Sorry if that isnt what number 4 meant to do, I have never had to this kind of grammar work, yet I always aced my english classes.

Hope this helps out a little, like I said these questions are different from any english test I have ever taken before.

1. give in--yield 2. hidepous--angry 2. ? He FOUGHT strongly when he encountered the robbers. 3. I cannot think of a simple sentence that combines two idea; it is a contradiction. I can give you a compound sentence: I asked her to report at 9:00, but she doesn't know the reason. Or I can give you a complex sentence: She doesn't know why I asked her to report at 9:00. 4. Subject-Verb-Object, but what do you mean by "C"? Boy kisses girl (on the cheek).
