Well, I want to go to this Pillsbury Baptist College. Why? Private and cost is cheap because I can live at home. They have the degree I am looking for. I am just wondering if you need to be Baptist to attend. Do you need to conform to a dress code? Will I be praying? Anyone attend a "Church College"? I am willing to learn about the bible not a problem.

You will have to abide by the rules. You probably will have some kind of chapel requirement. I attended a small Baptist school and we had a student with a 3.5 GPA who was turned down for a job because he didn't attend chapel. The interviewer said "you did not follow the rules of your school, how can I know you will follow our company policy?" You will find except for some requirements of the institution it will be much like any other college. The only thing is I would read the hand book before going just to see if there are any really quirky things like no car on campus. Good luck in School!

My daughter attends a Christian private college (her choice to go, not 'mom and dad's) they have a dress code of 'modest apparel' ... they have 'chapel attendance requirement'... they have a 'covenant you need to agree with' .... but they are all bible based and follow the word of God... not a bunch of man made rules.

now, it is a 'Christian/Missionary alliance"' college.... not baptist one... I don't know how the values/codes line up... I am sure they have info on their website to let you know what to expect

It may seem 'churchy' .. but some people want to start out their 'adult life' with a little more structure in their walk with Jesus... and a Christian college helps in that area, most the time...

I hope you find the college that works best for you

I believe it is a wise decision. It sounds like you have a open mind.Every college is different but at the college where i will be attending you don't have to be Assemblies of God. it does help. i don't think there is a dress code in college but not sure. I am going to a Christian college myself. You will be praying. I hope you will learn a lot. I am graduating this year. I want to become a pastor. You can ask if yoou like more info about christian colleges.

I don't think you need to be Baptist, but I'm really not sure about that. I do know, however, that local Catholic schools in my area don't look at religion in cases of admission. But the best answer out there would be from the school itself. All it takes is a simple e-mail or phone call!!

I have an atheist aunt who goes to a Christian girl's college and she doesn't have problems.

My suggestion is to research on whether or not they exclusively accept Baptists--if they do, then lie. :)

Call the admissions office. You will probably need a statement from your home pastor. I doubt that they accept pagans.

I don't know that school, but I did my undergraduate degree at a religious university. It was top-notch but it did have certain requirements that you just have to put up with.

Well, if they reject you then they are hypocrites. I'm sure that they are open-minded and will accept anyone, if they follow their god's teachings then they will open their arms to you.
