Why should they be ashamed, because you say so? Who are you to judge other people here?

Therein lies the problem. It is good to have absolute faith in the tenets of ones own religion, but one does not need to lambaste other religions. If we could all learn to respect each other's differences, we might be able to have peace in the world. I think people who put other religions down are insecure about their own religion.
I remember a story that was told in the interviews when Pope John Paul II passed away. The conductor of the orchestra that played for the Vatican is Jewish, but was not active in his religion. He said that the pope helped him back to his faith in Judaism. Would that not have been an opportunity to convert this man? Instead the pope guided him back to God. If that isn't the most God loving thing to do, I don't know what is. My point is, we are all looking for the path that leads us to God. Who is to say that their path is the only right one? People make false accusations about other people's religion without knowing anything about that particular religion. Unless a person has studied the religion in depth, they have no right to criticize.
Very good question.

One can disagree without being disagreeable. That's certainly true. But debates often become heated, especially when the topic is religion. Each believes his way to be correct, and some insist that theirs is the only correct one. One person's truth is another person's blasphemy. Because of this, it's important to wear armor (or at least grow a thick skin) into battle.

Luke 9:5
"And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them."
This concept is a teaching of Jesus. It is repeated three times in the Gospels, and once in Acts.
What you may think are insults might be considered as constructive criticism by others.
Do you love your fellow-man enough to tell them the truth, even if it's not well received?
Christianity isn't for cowards.

Some false teachings are an insult. They are an insult to our intelligence, to Our Lord and Savior, to humanity, to freedom, to equality. Not every belief should be tolerated and Jesus would agree with that. People need to be warned so I tell the truth and will never be ashamed of that.
May God Bless you.

Watch the regulars here for a while. The daily players. Many people come here daily from all sides of the religious debate. It's a rough neighborhood. I say go elsewhere if you can't stand the sight of a little blood.

Well, let's start with Islam. They insult Jewish and Christians in the Qur'an
No where in the Bible do we INTENTIONALLY insult them by name!
Now, who's call the kettle black!
[9:30] The Jews said, "Ezra is the son of GOD," while the Christians said, "Jesus is the son of GOD!" These are blasphemies uttered by their mouths. They thus match the blasphemies of those who have disbelieved in the past. GOD condemns them. They have surely deviated.
[4:157] And for claiming that they killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of GOD. In fact, they never killed him, they never crucified him - they were made to think that they did. All factions who are disputing in this matter are full of doubt concerning this issue. They possess no knowledge; they only conjecture. For certain, they never killed him.*
[9:33] He is the One who sent His messenger* with the guidance and the religion of truth, and will make it dominate all religions...
[17:4] We addressed the Children of Israel in the scripture: "You will commit gross evil on earth, twice. You are destined to fall into great heights of arrogance.
[17:5] "When the first time comes to pass, we will send against you servants of ours who possess great might, and they will invade your homes. This is a prophecy that must come to pass.
The above is a TOTAL insult to Christians and Jewish.
It ATTACKS our belief system and IT COMES FROM ISLAM
So, go talk to THEM first and ask why THEY insult us in their book!

that is your personal opinion. unfortunatly religion is the opium of the people. (marx) this says it all. some people by their religious beliefs assume that they are the only right way of belief and there is no other CORRECT way. so there for it is this knowledge that leaves any religion up for critisism. when a person of another religion personally attacks you and believes that you are going to go to hell for what ever it is that you believe in then YES by all means you have the right to insult their way of beliefs!!!

If you were not such a fool you would be able to save yourself some guilt by knowing all religions are based on a single grain of truth. Give me the single grain and i will help you with your guilt.
