You really should not be so hard on these poor rude people...they are either not intelligent enough to realize they are being rude or their life is so miserable that they have to take their delight in berating others to make them feel better about themselves...look at it this way, this is therapy for these poor pitiful creatures ..without these boards to berate others on...they might just be out kicking puppies..or stomping on kittens.....
we must all have compassion and be supportive for these intellectually challenged rude people ....and ignore their post .... ; )

Immaturity
I admit - I do it when someone asks a question that is incredibly stupid already nd typs it lyk dis!!!
I admit though - My spelling an grammar are not perfect, and I do the best I can, and I find it rude to point out a simple typo in a question that is otherwise fine
People who do that come across as immature to me - Like they're trying to make up for their own error.

People judge intelligence by ones spelling and grammar. When meeting potential bosses, people at business or social events, and prospective partners, poor grammar can prevent one from reaching social and business goals. Correcting is not meant to be rude. It is telling the writer that without correct spelling and grammar it doesn't matter what else you want to know. Also, with spell check so easy to see, it is rather lazy not to use it. This does not apply to people with dyslexia who can be so far off in spelling the word that spell check is of no help. (Incidentally, I used spell check three times in this paragraph.)

People are rude these days, it is a sign of the times...I do think that the content is more important than the spelling, but I do admit feeling frustrated sometimes looking at the frequency of badly misspelled words, not abbreviations, but entire phrases that are spelled incorrectly...
however, if you point out someone else's error, you are being rude...and that is not the point of these forums...

I understand that people want you to be grammatically correct when in school. However, even then you still make mistakes. People should not be rude. They just need to grow up!

I agree with you that it is rude but I only think it's funny/necessary when the person is asking a very rude or ignorant question...otherwise rudeness is just not necessary for anything

Yes, I saw that and couldn't believe how rude it was. Some people in life are just rude like that, unfortunately. Just know that you are a good person! :)
