The bible is always right! God did not make her that way. She has a choice to not be that way, whether or not she feels she was born that way. All were born into sin, homosexuality is a sin according to the bible. She has the conscious choice to not be that way. Through Christ Jesus, it is possible to leave that behind. Her understanding is twisted man made, not God's Word.

I am a Bi-sexual male
I dont believe that I made myself this way, it is never a matter of choice I do not choose to be attracted to guys I just am. I believe that I was born this way for a reason not yet apparent to me. id say that it is a bit of both though. I mean the Goddess and God have control over how I was to be born so yes, I do say that it is a bit of both.
I do hope this helps...

Both are right.
Some people seem to be born that way (proof is still a long way off from being conculsive, but I've talked to some who knew what they were at age 5).
Others do it by choice. That is definate weird.
If you're born that way, you have no choice.
If you change, that's free will and using free will to do something quite contrary.
Contrary to the nature of things.
And gratification for gratifications sake, be it hetero or homo, is not a good thing.

I am not Christian, let me make that clear first. Homosexuality is condemned in the biblical scriptures, simply ready the five books of laws(those are the first five books of the old testament and are Judaic scriptures). As for sexuality, the choice for homosexuality could be due to perversion or imbalance. Whether religious or anti religious, homosexuality is practiced at large and is counterproductive both religiously and scientifically speaking. Your friend is simply attempting to justify them self as would any other person when choosing a path that condemns them.

It's not always a choice, both nature as well as nurture play significant roles.
You can still be a Christian and homosexual at the same time. Being a homosexual does not automatically exclude you form being a Christian also.

I think the choice in sexuality is whether or not you decide to engage in it. From what my gay friends tell me, they were born that way.
If God made everything to be perfect, and if Gay people are born gay, would that mean that God created something imperfect, which would be at odds with God being omnipotent?!
The part of the bible that says that man shall not lie with man is in the book of leviticus. In the same passage, it says that women are unclean seven days before and after menstruation, and that during menstruation, they cannot be seen by men. (Something they don't tell you in the tampon ads)
It also says that for your sins to be forgiven, you have to sacrifice some of your meat and grain. It also tells you what type of birds to sacrifice for different sins, ranging from hawks to pidgeons.
It also says it is a sin to wear garments made of more than tow manmade materials, and that it is a sin to eat shell fish....
Basically, that means you can never ever take your girlfriend out to a seafood restaraunt in a lambswool suit with silk lining while she's menstruating, wihout savrificing one of your calves and wheat, and possibly an eagle.
The above example sounds silly, but it's all in the book of leviticus!
I'm not gay, but i think it is extremely hypocritical of some christians to condemn their fellow man, and treat them with such disregard when Jesus told them all to love eachother. Also, if christians are going to condemn gay people as they are told to in the book off leviticus, then it would be terribly hypocritical of them not to abide by the rest of the rules laid down in the same book...
You dig?

GOD makes man AND woman. They may choose to be homosexual but not homosexual and Christian. Christian and homosexual are mutually exclusive items. Have them read, study, THEN obey the Bible as it is written in the New Testament. Man was made to be with woman and vice-versa. Have a great week.

I do not believe one can be homosexual and a Xian, due to the fact that homosexuals define themselves as what sex their attracted to as opposed to what sex they are having sexual relations with. Technically, those who have not have sex are not sexual beings at all until it occurs. A part of being a Xian is being responsible with our lives, regarding who we have sex with and when. On that note, do I believe homosexuals have a choice as to who they have sex with? Yes. Do I believe those who eventually become homosexual have a choice in the matter regarding who they are attracted to? No, I do not. Otherwise, I'd have to remember when I decided to be attracted to the opposite sex as opposed to the same sex. I don't ever remember having that discussion in my head.

Why are people so confused about this?
Everyone is afraid of what is different. Racial segregation, sexuality, gender, it all stems from fear. So the question to ask is, what is there to be afraid of with homosexuals?
Family morals. Teenage morals. Adult morals.
Two homosexuals could teach their child to be loving and accepting.
Teenagers could just be going through a phase.
Adults could make their own decisions in their life.

Sexuality is genetic. Tell me, did you choose to be straight? Well no homosexuals would be crazy enough to choose to be homosexual given the way they get treated by most of the population on the planet. It would be like "sticking your hand in sulphuric acid" stupid.
As for her being Christian and homosexual, well thats not really any of your business is it?
