How do Muslim's live today?

I am comparing and contrasting modern Islamic culture, and the history of the Islamic World

then most Muslims were Arabs
now Islam is the fastest growing religion and there are people of all cultures who are Muslims.
They involve their own cultural traditions (as long as they don't contradict to Islamic teachings) in their faith.
Many Muslims are in the career world..like my mom.
She is in the real estate business and is highly respected by many. She is also a convert.
Islam has NEVER changed
but maybe some cultures and the Muslims have changed..whether it is for the positive or the negative it is still evolving.

A normal working day for a moslem girl like me would be like this:

I wake up at 4.30 am. Shower. Pray. Get ready for work. Ride the bus to work. Work. Near the end of my lunchbreak (say, 12.45 pm) I perform my noon prayers. Work. Near the end of my office hours (4.30 pm) I do my late afternoon prayers. Go home by bus. 6.15 early evening prayers. Go to the gym or watch American Idol with the family. Shower. Late night prayers. Sleep.

Boring huh?

Lets just say, a modern Islamic life isn't far much different from its predecessors. It lives according to the advantages and disadvantages each era has. That's what I believe is said in the Qur'an we have to evolve along with the change of circumstances but still keep our faith (laws and rights, as well) and protect it accordingly. I just think it's silly how some moslems interpret the Qur'an literally and start making all these suicide bombs and acting holier than thou, for if we think with our clear minds (like the Prophet Abraham PBuH did when he was young, figuring out who his God was) there should always be a wise solution to all our problems. We live for God's blessings and avoid God's wrath in our current life on earth and for the hereafter.
[Another thing, I don't wear the hijab. Not yet. I still have several considerations on my mind to resolve first.]

Well, muslim's today pray 5 times a day. And they still eat Halal meat which is cut the islamic way. Muslims also read the holy koran. Muslims today are able to wear modern clothes with in the islamic limits , no tight clothes for both female and male that shows their figure. Muslims are also able to marry whom ever they please without being forced. Muslims are forbiden to convert others like mentionares do.
Muslim women are able to go to school,vote, drive, own land or bussiness, and become independent.

Widely varied.

Muslims in America are mostly middle class or rich. They live like the Middle Class or Rich Saudi's.

They don't live like poor Palestinians, Eqyptians or Iraqis.

The ones in America have colorful dress, buy camcorders, Ipods, Wide Screen LCD and Plasma TV sets and drive Mercedes and Lexus.

We wake up like everybody else at 5:00 am we pray then we
pray at noon then pray at 4:44 pm and then we pray at 6:00
then we pray at like 8:00 pm . We can not have dogs but we can have cats,birds,fish,etc. WE CAN'T EAT PIG MEAT

Just like anyone else. The only thing different is their religion. (and their practices....) Hmmm...so I guess they don't live just like anyone else.
