Everyone else is fine because they were not the ones screwed over. This is family and I want to be over it too. Besides the Sh** starting confrontation factor, what can I do to not let it boil up inside of me?

Holding on to anger is like taking poison and expecting it to kill your enemy. Unknown

It's one of my favorite quotes and one of the hardest to live. Letting go takes a lot of mental effort and a huge willingness to change.

First you have to realize that you have the right to be at peace with yourself. Anger isn't something that comes from the outside but something that we generate as a response.

Look at the situation and focus on what you learned and how you grew because of it. Also, did it cause others in your family to learn and grow? Did you forge closer bonds with some people because of what happened? Focus on the good that came out the problem instead of the problem.

Once you do that you start to change how you feel about the problem and the anger will start to slip. It will be easier to forgive once the anger is out of the way.

One other step is to ask Jesus to love the person who harmed you through you. It does help to have that back up and to know that your loving actions aren't fake, just God reaching out using you.

Here's hoping you can find some peace and forgiveness in your life.

Honey, You want to get over this, and the only way you can get rid of baggage, that is a thorn in your side, is to ask God to help you release it. Put it behind you. Never mention it again to anyone for any reason, and when it comes to mind and starts to boil up as you say, tell your self, that you are on top of this crap in your head, and it is not on top of you.
Forgive as Christ has forgiven you.
You can be bigger then the betrayal that you feel has been done to you. Stress is a killer, don't let this issue take your health.
I hope I have given you something to think about. You will feel so much better without this weight on your shoulders. Put on a sweet smile and others will smile back. Smiles are contagious and have become a habit with me. I love to look pleasant at all times and you will too. You can overcome this, first of all because you state the desire to.
Good luck to you and God bless you Honey.~~~~~~~~Jill

I had to realize that there would never be satisfaction over my family issue. I decided the rest of my clan wasn't worth giving up and the personal stress was killing me. that person doesn't matter to me, I'm civilized to them so I can have a family. Good luck!
