tonight I first defrosted my chicken then I preheated
the oven but forgot to place the chicken in the oven
and I didn't realize that until 50 minutes later

so when I realized my mistake I put the chicken to a
very warm oven

so I'm wondering if the chicken will still be good to
eat (I'm making shake-n-bake if that helps)
right the chicken is baking in the oven at 400f for 50 minutes
(I hoping that would kill any bacteria

so is the chicken still good or do I have throw away all that chicken (6 pounds)

Wow, I thought I was the only one who spaced off like that!

Yeah, you're fine. One hour on a kitchen counter is fine. It's not like it was in the trunk of your car in August.

You are fine
Individual chicken parts cooked at 400 Deg F for 50 minutes would be fine
Most people cook at 350 for an hour
I cook at 400 For an hour for parts (55 Mins Actually)

To tell for sure Slice open the thickest peice, If it is not pink , it is cooked

Yes. Actually it is better to put a room temperature chicken into the oven than one that is cold from the refrigerator. So, your food will be fine.

as long as your chicken wasnt out long enough to get warm... so bacteria could grow it will be fine... just be careful especially in the summer months..i always cook chicken at 350 degress to hot of an oven will dry out the chicken.

should have no problems. even if it was at room temperature ... 5o minutes isn't that long a time to be out. the best way to tell is to simply smell it after defrosting. if it smells bad it usually is. So chow down Bro!

no, i think you chicken will be fine. i think it has to be left out for over 2 hours to start going bad. so your chicken should be just fine.
