No distant relationships don't work. But keep her as a friend so when she does come you guys can be more then friends while he is there. And when I say friend I mean like more then a friend a playful type of person. But you can always try it. But you just won't ever have the connection you want sense she is sooo far away. BEST OF LUCK and I hope that if you do decide to do distant relationship it works just don't be mad if it doesn't

You're in 10th grade. That's not to say that you don't have feelings, but people your age need to stop thinking about serious relationships so much. You haven't even discovered who you are yet at age 16 or 17, so why make as drastic a move as to pursue a long distance relationship with somebody, something that 27 year olds even have problems with? You live on opposite sides of the country. Are you expecting to date over the phone for 8 years and then move in with eachother once you have your own houses? You need to experience life as a young person. Don't grow up too fast. You'll regret it later.
For now, talk on the phone, have fun, and if she comes to visit and you end up making out all week, have fun with it. But forget all the long distance relationship stuff.

Honestly, don't put yourself in this kind of long distance situation. I'm guessing youre in high school and you have a few years left to go. Try and find someone closer to home and keep her as a friend. After all, once she comes to visit in the summer, she'll have to eventually go home. then what are you going to do?

I know it is a bit scary, but there is no problem in just being you.
Buy her a small token teddy bear and a pink rose when the visit happens.

definitley keep in touch, but do not get to involved you are to young to be worrying about someone so far away. You never know what could happen in the future so just keep your friendship going.
