My boyfriend and I had been on for 6 years now but we have kept it a secret to eveyone beacuse we worked in the same company/office where having a relationship with a co-worker is strictly not allowed. Somehow we managed to be profeesional at work but even if we are discrete in our action many of our co-workers are suspecting us but none of them can prove that we did have a relationship. Now he is asking me to marry him and suggest that both of us should resign and find new jobs in separate office so we won't have anything to hide. Should we resign? Is this a wise decision?

You sure as hell can't both keep working there!

As to whether you both resign, or just one -- since you've been violating company rules for so long, once that's disclosed the choice may not be wholly up to you.
