The City of Pomona is 30 miles from downtown L.A. and is in L.A. County and borders on San Bernardino county. It was incorporated as a city in 1888 and for some reason is way top heavy in L.A. County administrative offices and annex offices ...I can not refind the website that shows this or explain exactly why... but somebody there I suspect had some "pull".......

From what? From the city of LA? No, less then 30 min. Its part of LA county, so I am going to assume you ment the city. I have a friend who swears that when the traffic is good, you can get anywhere in LA county in 20 min or less. I beg to differ, but if you want to believe him we can say 20 min.

If you live in Los Angeles, no it's not far away.
If you live in New York, yes it's far away.
But really...it depends on what you consider "far away". 30 miles? 1000 miles? 20,000 miles?
And the other factor is...far away FROM WHERE?
