If you want it fixed see a chiropractor until your muscles are allowing your bones to stay in the correct place.
Use a massage therapist to get the muscles back to where they belong instead of being knotted.
Read and apply the principles in the book at the end.
The surface you sleep on is overrated. I have slept on the floor or thin cushion for over 40 years because I cant sleep on most beds.

Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.

Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.

The cure - start with a professional massage, (if this does not do it you probably need a chiropractor as well) you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).

For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

Hasn't it crossed your mind that by sleeping on the floor of your childrens room, your wife has picked the only spot in the house that she knows you can't try to have sex with her. And being bossy is a good way to show your wife you have no respect for her and a good reason for her to be heading for the kids room. Your wife is your partner and companion, not someone to be bossed around. If you don't get it that marriage is an equal partnership you won't have to worry about where she sleeps, she may not be there much longer.

Sleeping on the floor can make it worse. Spend less than an hour on the computer everyday. Don't sit at the computer for more than 15 minutes without getting up and stretching.

Maybe, maybe not! It might make it worse.

First- see a Doc, to make sure that there is nothing seriously wrong. Get a (legit of course) massage. Think about a gentle yoga/stretch class. I was taught an exercise of taking two tennis balls in a stocking, lying down with the stocking under my back, with one ball on either side of my spine, then "crawling" on my back so that it goes up and down my spin.
But I reiterate: get medical clearance. Good luck!

Sleeping on the floor could probably make it worse, get a softer matress with memory foam, it works amazing and I feel great in the morning when I wake up.

Not really it will actually make it worse ok try getting yourself to sleep straight in your back by making sure your pillow is not to hard and high. Sleep in your side that will help too. Also if you sleep in your back put a pillow under your knees to straighten up you back. try it and let me know what happens

It might be your mattress, i sleep on the floor sometimes when my back does hurt.

For the most part i do a few curl-ups and take some pain killers.

Your back and neck could be telling you something and you should go and see a chiropractor and see what they have say about this since they have medical background. Good luck.
