when i dont go out or do something during the day, i just feel down right sad. i always get nostalgic too. i used to be constantly stressed and upset and i just thought that was because i had ADD and bad grades but now im doing a lot better in school and i still feel sad. i used to always be excited to hang out with friends and make plans but now i never make plans, none of my friends make plans with me, and even i just can never think of what to do with friends because nothing appeals to me like it used to. i still always seem to look happy and i always act like im happy, and i feel like im happy, when im with my friends but then when im alone im just not. i never get excited for things anymore, i want to be but im just not. nothing has happened to me that has made me this way, so i just cant find any explanation to why im always so sad. ive also had weird changes in appetite. im always hungry but no food ever appeals to me. i just dont know what it is or what i should do about it.

You are really describing some pretty classic symptoms of depression and I'm really glad you wrote in about it. Even though it isn't a constant feeling and sometimes you feel better when you are with friends, you are describing depression and I really urge you to talk with your parents if they are supportive and tell them it isn't simply a phase and that you'd really like to see a counselor. People are always quick to assume with kids and adolescents that things are "phases" and you'll grow out of it, and you might, but if you've felt this way for longer than a few weeks, please talk with someone about it. Kids get depressed just like adults and even if it is a phase, counseling will help you through that too.

It sounds like you are suffering from depression. I go through the same thing. If you feel better earlier in the day, get yourself motivated and get out and run at least one errand. Sometimes, just getting outside during the winter days is enough to make your day go a little better.
Even though you don't feel like going out with your friends, make yourself do it. Don't go with the attitude that you won't have fun or that you will be bad company because then you will be.
The alternative is medication, but I manage my depression by pushing myself a little harder when I need it.

You could possibly be suffering from clinical depression. Since it's caused from a chemical imbalance in the brain, there doesn't have to be anything happen in your life for you to have it. It's a proven fact that sunshine and exercises can help alleviate symptoms, so try that first. Nothing major, maybe just a 30 minute walk everyday. If this doesn't help you might consider going to your doctor.

i'm no docter, but i think that you may be suffering from depression

i had the same kind of feelings that you did when i was depressed

at the time, i didnt realise what was wrong with me, but i did some research on depression and i realised thats wat i had

if you are stressed and feel under pressure (it sounds like you are) then it definelty is not helping you!

i would suggest talking to a trusted adult/family member or one of your friends. when i was depressed, i didn't want to talk about it, but things only started to get better when i told someone.

I know exactly how you feel. I've gone through it before, but i got through it!

talk to someone. there are people in this world that care about you and love you!

tell yourself that YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
good luck.

Sounds like depression. Try taking some St john's Wort (herbal supplements) and that should boost your mood. Take a brisk walk when you're in your alone time. Instead of reflecting on the past, envision the future you want to embrace. Set some small goals and achieve them.

You sound like you might be mildly depressed. Watch especially eating lots of carbohydrates and sugars--they can leave you with that type of feeling. Be sure you're eating lots of fruits, vegetables, and protein. You should probably see a doctor about feeling sad, in case there's a metabolic problem that can be fixed.

It took you time to get to this point,so, give yourself time to come back. take baby steps. Aim for one thing at a time. Maybe you can plan on just walking one morning. When you do that, then set another small goal. Sounds like you have lost your rhythm and need to ease yourself slowly back.

The pharmaceutical industry would say you have a "problem". But understand, you are just literally trying to find yourself. Find your purpose, relax in the process. Finding who you are is not easy,( or I could say "finding yourself is"). You are ok, friend. You are just going through life like to rest of us. You are going to make it I'm ADHD.....great. Who gives a fuc_. Find your way in this mad house called "reality".
