It's all about product. I used to have stick-straight hair, but then it turned into a frizzy, fried mess. It looked literally like straw. If you dye your hair, stop. Let your hair grow to it's natural color. Get it cut frequently to keep the ends even and healthy. Sometimes the way you have your hair cut affects its frizziness, too. Anti-frizz serums are great to put on your hair after styling. Look into a deep conditioner that you can wear overnight.

My hair is long and curly. I use Fructis leave-in conditioner, which seems to work just okay. Straightening your hair is the worst thing you can do. I love Nexxus products (Humectress) - I also shampoo only once a week, but condition every day in the shower. Before you shower, wet your hair and condition. Go about your business for about 20 minutes, then go in. (with Pantene for Women of Color or Tresemme) - these work great without killing your budget. Once or twice a week I do a deep conditioning, and try to never, ever brush it when wet! Good luck, I feel your pain.

Pantene makes a smoothing creme in a pump form. It smells SOOOOOO good too (like ripe nectarines and berries being sold next to fresh cut flowers the way they sell them on European streets). It not only controls frizz it was shown on Good Morning America to be the most effective barrier against humidity when tested with a bunch of products. It's great stuff.

If you want to use something light try It's a 10 leave in conditioner. For something heavy try a serum, like kms flat out anti frizz serum. But for something between the two, try the Biosilk silk therapy.

You might not be putting enough of the product in OR you need to find a different product. Ask your hairstylist for suggestions!
