Many parents will balk at the start up cost of supplying their precious ones with uniform dress wear. But, I am in agreement with schools having uniforms, as well as, dress codes. This will put the emphasis back on education and eliminate a lot of rivalry that is prevalent in the classrooms today. I would even take it a step further and insist that the teaching staff comply to uniforms as well. Having a dress code will simplify what is appropriate for young school children of all ages to adhere to. Remember that school is the preparation for the entrance into the world as an adult, and that it is to these children who we are to look to to make our laws and for us to be governed by [them].

Yes! The classroom is no place to being exhibiting daring tastes in attire. Having limitations and presenting oneself in an acceptable manner is all part of the discipline of life. By throwing the rule book out the window, we're telling kids that it's okay NOT to abide, an attitude that will only conflict their thinking when confronted with "real world" situations.

I think its good for younger kids, grade schools. At least you dont have to stop and think about what you are gonna wear today.
But one thing ive always wondered-if kids are forced to dress alike arent you killing their sense of individuality?
Also, shouldnt the teachers be forced to wear the same uniforms as well?
