I've always loved having long hair; I get so many compliments on it! It's a little past the middle of my back. There are so many things to do with it, shiny, and mine is well-kept since I get trims every two months or so. I'm in middle school, and I'm thinking about cutting it about two inches past my shoulders, and layering it. It can get really annoying sometimes, and since the summer is coming up in a few months, it would make things a lot easier for swimming and stuff. It's just that . . . I'm afraid if I cut it off, I'll regret it. But then again, it could look really cute, and it could be less of a hassle to take care of. *Sigh* I don't know what to do! Any suggestions?

before you cut your hair...try wearing it upswept..which can look really pretty in the summer...
also if you do decide to cut..go very slowly at first...maybe just a few subtle layers....and no length cut off.....
go slowly...if you do decide to cut it...go to a good hairdresser who willl listen to what you want.
remember..no matter what..hair grows back!

Go for it! I had VERY blonde hair and decided this past August to go Brunette and I LOVED the change. You only live once. A good hairstylist will be able to tell you if that would look good on you. Make sure when you go to take pictures that show EXACTLY how you want it and that will decrease your chances of being disappointed! Good luck!

when i was in high school i had the same hair it sounds like you had. super looooong, shiny, and blonde. i cut mine my senior year and LOVED it! everything was so much easier and i found there was actually more i could do with it shorter than longer as far as styles go. if you do decide to cut it ten inches or more make sure you donate it to locks of love and help someone out!

I always tell clients if they're truly unsure about it, then wait. I've known too many girls who chopped their hair off and regretted it terribly not so long after. you could try something like longer, real choppy layers, and face-framing, or bangs.

on the other hand, you could go for it and cut enough off for locks of love (if you have enough length). then you don't feel so bad about losing all your length.

What shade is your hair now? you pick blonde or auburn so i assume your hair is brown or black? in case you have clearly black hair then you probable shouldn't pass blonde. It never seems authentic. in case you have a heat skin tone (you seem extra perfect in orange than in purple, extra perfect in gold than in silver) then, you will seem advantageous with auburn hair. without seeing you i could could say which you will get an entire head honey blonde highlights. which will make you continuously blonde yet no longer complete-on "whats up seem at me" blonde. in case you come back to a determination you do no longer like it then you could actually do easy or medium auburn over it and it's going to likely be captivating. I additionally say shop your hair long. short hair is plenty extra stable to handle. you could type short hair each and every day. With long promptly hair you could in simple terms placed on it down in case you pick to without needing to curve or type it.

I say go for it. It's hair and it will always grow back! :) Just don't go any shorter than you want to, if you feel you might regret it.

I think you should. It will grow, but you'll have a mini make over and a change of pace.
