My bouquet will consist of red roses. I wanted my bridesmaids to wear red or a burgundy colored dress but I'm thinking that red roses wouldn't look good for them...should I have them hold white roses or what other color could I change the dresses to so they could hold red roses? Thanks for your answers!

I think you should just change the colour of the roses to white and keep the dresses red! Your having red roses and i asume your dress is white so have the bridemaides wear red with white flowers. and make sure your bouquet is bigger then the others and that you have a throw away one, like get them to make a cheap small version of yours so when you throw it later in the night you still have the one you held while you got married!

Good Luck and God Bless

will the flower shop will have picture of bouquet. and you can just think of top of your head to pick which one you wanted.. they have a lot of colors...and style for you to pick from... and if bridemaids dress. you can look in bride books.. Or start shopping season for prom dresses you can look for the colors...
When i got marry my Bouquet was voilet color.. i pick the color
just let you know some people do not look good in red dresses....You always find really lite red that almost look orange or sun and you can still have red flowers. You should not worry about they bouquet you should worry about yours bourquet.. and colors... but as for bridesmaids dress.. Whatever you feel that would look good the flower doesn't matter they can hold one flower or small bouquet or nothing at all...

Well when is the wedding? What is your other color? If you like red, I would not go with red or burgandy dresses. This all depends on the date and the other color, maybe they can wear a different color. White roses are nice too, all depends on which one is more important to you on your big day! Good luck.

Have them hold either red roses with another color mixed in; or a different color red rose than the shade of their dress. Or they could have cream colored roses, or even white would be pretty. You could be opposites then!

What is wrong with red dresses and red roses? Just have some babies breath put in with the flowers so the white wil break up the red and you got a lovely look.

Your flowers need to stand out from the bridesmaids' flowers. So, it's okay that they won't be carrying red roses. I would NOT change the color of the dresses just to compensate for the flowers. There are many colors & varieties of flowers and I'm sure your florist will be able to help you find something lovely.

Good luck & cogratulations!

At my cousin's wedding, I wore a red dress and the bouquet I carried had red, pink, and reddish-orangey colored flowers. It looked pretty and complemented the dress. There is also nothing wrong with contrasting colors. As long as the contrasts go well together. It is really up to you.

How about champagne for a dress color? It looks good on all complexions and then red roses would really stand out. Best Wishes.

Ok you know how alot of the dresses have the belts that you can put around your waist and tie in the back. Well you could do a like a really dark creamy dress or champagne colored with a red belt. My friend actually did this and it was very pretty.

Like something like this. This is definitely the style this year. Their everywhere. Good Luck!

They could hold pink ones. A lighter pink colour would look very nice; kinda valentines-day-ish!
Or they could wear pink dresses, and still hold red roses, but your bouquet should be slightly different from theirs.
I think it would look nicest you holding all red roses, and them holding all light pink roses.
