For the most part, with me, it's the homophobia of christianity. The Bible calls homosexuals sinners because of their homosexuality which is stupid. So because someone has feelings for and may love a person of the same sex and wants to express it, they should there for be ashamed of themselves and they are wrong. A Christian cannot look at that last sentence and see the outrageous stupidity of it. And that surprises me. It's shocks me that anyone would ever insult people for loving each other and wanting to express it. And labeling anything as a sinner is basically name-calling. What annoys me so much about Christians is how they will act as if their religion is right and will say god doesn't like your homosexuality. They totally start acting like everyone is apart of their religion. They totally forget, that's probably not the belief of homosexuality so why the hell r u telling me about that stuff? It's like keep it to yourselves. So, I don't have any respect for christianity mainly

for what it says about gays. I also don't have much respect for a lot of christians because of their beliefs in it and how they preach to gay people how their behavior is sinful without really considering hey, they may not be christian. I disbelieve in it, but this is why I also don't respect it.

i dislike any closed-minded opinionated and judgmental people who force their krap on others. they turn out to be the biggest hypocrites ever. Christians are big time haters (most are in my opinion) spreading lies and hate. I don't need to argue this or defend myself as I'm not insecure about myself and my life. I can't go to hell because I don't believe in a hell, if a christian chooses to believe other wise for lets say....premarital sex, then o-well, they can think that, it's their right, but not their right to force me to live by their standards, bible or any other krap that goes on in their heads. That goes for anyone who feels that everyone should think/live/behave alike, what a krappy world we would be living in if that were the case... if people couldn't be individuals with different beliefs. Homosexuality hurts no one, and that's all that matters, that no one is hurt.
k...that is all.
peace out.

Being called "anti-Christian" is up there. I'm "anti-superstition", myself.

As for annoyance: It's the idealized ignorance that usually gets my feathers ruffled. Example: Evangelist makes a wild claim. Experts in the subject of the claim explain how the claim is inaccurate, misleading, or outright wrong. Evangelist insists that (choose any or all in any order):

1: The experts are liars or decievers.
2: There is a conspiracy of Satan to supress Christian-validating events.
3: There is no proof said claim DIDN'T happen.
4: God said it, I believe it.
5: God said we'd be persecuted and this is the proof.
6: The only thing you need to be an expert in is the Bible.

Then there's the "You have been decieved by the Devil" line, frequently used when an inconsistency or absurdity in their dogma is pointed out. Or the "Read the Bible and you will understand" bit. News flash: I've read the Bible. A few times. Nothing gave me a magical labotomy.

The list goes on...

First of all, I am a Christian whose best friend is gay. Second of all, the homophobic passages in the Bible are OLD TESTAMENT, i.e., Jewish, i.e., before the time of Christ. In the famous scene of a woman who was a harlot and was caught in the act, Jesus said "He who is without sin cast the first stone" - the implication being that if Jesus, the Son of God, did not throw any stones (as the record states) then who is better than God to throw any either. Jesus also said: "I am the fulfillment of the law." This means that the Jewish concept of a jealous God who commanded the Israelites to do such things as cut their enemies' thumbs and big toes off was replaced by a God of Love, who sacrificed His only begotten Son whose blood was shed so that all who believe in Him may have eternal life - in short, Jesus paid for our sins, which means that of course homosexuals' sins as well as all others have been paid for, regardless of whether you think homosexuality is a sin or just a biological fact, which I do.

This might be a lesson to you in being judgmental of Christians, or to not over-generalize and say the "everyone knows that all reticulated anamacassars are morally bankrupt", etc.

For your information, I AM a Christian, but I disagree with many Christians on their way of doing things. They read (the bible) a lot, they praise (God) a lot, but they seldom do (love). I think as real Christians we must stop reading and praising. Let's DO sth to love people. "do" is more impotant than "love people". "love people" is more important than "love God". They have turned the picture upside down. If you want to DO sth to love others, you won't hate homosexuals anymore.

it is not a sin when you love someone although the same sex but it's a sin when you do something that forbidden in the religion such as having sex with the same sex, having sex without married, criminal and many more. What do you get if you do such thing except a diseases. when Adam was created, a woman was created to be with him as a wife, and not a man.if you become antichrist just because of this matter, you also have to be anti religions because what religions in this world allow their people to do such a thing. you should be ashamed of yourself. Think properly. Every religion has their own reason for the good of their people. thimk about it.

i wouldn't exactly call me anti-christian, but i kind of feel the same way like you about some issues. i just don't like that so many stick to ancient beliefs, isolate their kids from the rest of the world and believe every word out of one single book. and then, what's the worst part of all is this acting like everybody is part of their religion. when i tell a christian that i believe in evolution, they ask me if i ever read the bible. it doesn't occur to them thay maybe i have read it and decided that it is not the absolute truth but more a book that attempts to explain the origin of the world. and it gets actually kind of funny when they try to convert me by citing bible texts....
edit: oh, and did you ever notice that many christians ("thou shalt not kill") are the first ones to promote the death penalty? just one of many contradictions...

I am a Muslim, former Christian (Catholic to be specific).

What you speak of are the Christians who claim to follow Jesus but ingore his message of peace, unconditional respect and looking out for the disatvanged. Instead they get msiguided by their own insecurities and look for the flaws in others and "try" to spread the word of God but ultimately drive people away.

I shake my a head at this in disappointment but please do not judge all Christians as if they follow these misguided ideas.

Salaam

Well, I wouldn't call myself "anti christian" but I do not like eliteism and that seems to be the practice of the religion. What happened to not judging people? They seem to be the most judgemental and it is against the core of their religion to do so. So, IF they actually pacticed Christianity rather than their numerous interpretations than I think they will be much better off with non-christians and their own religious basis.

ALOT of things, but mainly they are so hypocritical. the bible tells you not do do alot of things, such as excessive drinking, gambling, premarital sex, getting tattoos, etc. yet i see people with the jesus fish tatoo. are they not blatantly saying they dont know anything about their religion?! and tons of people who claim to be "christian" are straight up unethical, like doing the things listed above. im sure the bible says "love thy brother" and "love thy enemy" but the majority of pro-war people are christian. it does not make sense, and is very irritating.
