I need to now what to use. I know you use a shampoo cape and a towl but what is that thing called that you put aroun their nexts, a neck strap or something...lol i am not sure. Also how do u wash hair properly. Also my last question is...can you name some questions i can ask the client, like is the water warm enoughand stuff like that.
thank you so much in advance.

after you tilt their head back....turn th ewater on..and test it first on your hands..try it just a bit on their hair and ask,....if the water is comfortable...then adjust it...if they want it adjusted.
wet their hair throughly...
add shapoo to your hands..rub them together..then start massaging the shampoo into their scalp.using the pads of your fingers..( not your nails!)
always keep soap away from their eyes.....and have a damp wash cloth on hand to wipe any splashes of shampoo.
start rinsing the front of their hair first..use you hand to guard and shield their eyes from any soap or water running down their faces.... direct the flow of water away from their face..
lastly..when hair has been rinsed..lift hair by nape and rinse well .
shut water off...immediately wrap towel around their neck first..then a second towel around their hair...now the can be allowed to sit up...good luck!!

neckstrip :)

q's to ask:

after seating them back, "are you comfortable?"
"is the water too warm?" guage answer...if the client says yes, adjust temp. and ask, "is that a better temperature?" if client answered no to "is water too warm," ask, "is it warm enough?"

test the temperature on your wrist, rather than your hand.
