so i like this guy alot but hes always making fun of me jokingly. my friends say sometimes they see him staring at me and hes always smiling at me. hes usually really out going and stuff but around me he gets kinda shy. ppl who knowi like him say i need to talk to him more and stuff but i just get too shy and nervous; i know im not ugly and have a pretty good personality but i just get way too scared that ill say something stupid.
he doesnt go to my school but we are in this afterschool group thing together so i see him all the time and he IMd me a couple of times but i always chicken out and go away.
anyways what should i do and any topics i could talk to him about and is there any way he might like me

dont worry about sounding stupid if he likes you he wont mind be your self and talk about things you like to do and see if he likes the same things

The best advice I can give to anyone is this: BE YOURSELF. If you start flirting with him now, or acting in a way that you wouldn't normally act, he will eventually see through it and could lose interest later on (after you're already in a relationship, potentially).
I may be old-fashioned, but I've found that what always works is to let the guy initiate things. If he really is interested (shy, or not), he will let you know sooner or later. My husband is one of the most reserved people I know, and I never thought he'd be interested in me (or at least, that he would show it). After getting to know me a little better, and becoming friends with me (which is key, as well), he ended up asking me out. And here we are now, MARRIED! ;)

i been there in middle school back in 1988 and could not tell the guy how I feel. Sometime it takes a couple of years to click. just like me. A boy kept joking with me and makin gfun also tripped me and busted the bottom of my chin. that was 1989. 2004, this same guy i dated for two years. Didn't last. you might want to weigh you roptions because sometimes they have that flirty feeling at a young age but as they get older they might not feel the same way. but you should go ahead and tell him you had your heart set on being a good friend to him and you want to know if yall can get to know one another. Don't wait til 5 years later!!!!

It is verry obious he likes you. One time I was reading an article in a magazine it talked about all the signs guys give off if they like you, and one of them said they gently insult you. Its true cause a guy I found out liked me did the same stuff.Pluss it was written by a guy and who else to know how a guy would act when they like a girl other than a guy? I say the most important thing is be yourself.

sounds like that he definitely likes you but he is afraid of rejection. There are two things that you can do. One thing is to find out his interests and try to build a conversation on some of his interests. If he likes cars and sports, for example, research some information. If you know anyone that is close to him, find out what he is saying about you. Guys tend to talk to their best buds about girls.
If you are afraid to talk to him and you really want to express yourself, there is nothing better than a letter. it does not have to be mushy, you can write a letter or a poem. the best thing about writing a letter is it will force the guy you like to sit down and read the letter, you do not have to worry about saying something stupid because there will be no room forever. you will be surprised at the power of a letter!

talk to him more, the only way u'll stop feeling nervous around him is if u get more comfortable talking to him. talk about school n how ur classes are going, ur friends, n ask him bout his life. also flirt around wit him to make sure he knows ur interested. don't be scared
