hmm. jessica simpson. it looks like she has both highlites and lowlites...highlights blonde and lowlites like a darker blonde...so maybe what you can do is dye your hair a medium blonde color...remember color cant lift color so its gonna depend if ur hair right now is dark you cant expect it to be perfectly light. i would best go to a profesional if you have to get it lightened because they know what there doing and on a lot of boxed products color never lifts or flies with ur hair. but a good boxed product i always like is herbal essences in golden glam or amber shimmer. try a highlighting product thats blonde like herbal essences highlights or clairol frost and tip.

Honestly, I would go to a professional for this one. The highlights seem to be different shades, some look very very blonde. This I think, will be hard to achieve at home. You could also go to somewhere like Sally's and ask them for advice, they have always been very helpful with me. :)

That is Jessica Simspon so she got a proffesional to do it, you definately CANNOT do that at home, you have to go to a real professional
