how old do you have to be to a bartender in the state of NJ i thought it was 21?

i have been told by 2 different people that it has changed but i have been a bartender for 19 years

In NJ you can't drink until you are 21 but you can be a bartender at 18.

In order to serve alcohol you must be 21. I believe you can work as a barback or waitress that serves drinks as a part of your job at 18.
