Which would be more successful, in your opinion...marrying a guy your same age, or marrying a guy who is 13 years older? would marrying a guy whos that much older than you, a big deal? or could it work if our personalities are alot alike? does age matter?

age should not matter. what matters is how both of you feel about each other. Talk about the age difference and see if he is OK with it. Then talk about others like friends and family may think. But in the end it's all up to the both of you. If you are both comfortable with the difference, love does not know numbers unless one of you is underage. Good luck!

you did not mention how old you were...I was 20 and dated a 33 year old...that was a mistake. He was so obsessive and pressuring. But despite that, age really shouldn't be a factor. If you like the guy and get along with him, then great for you guys! I mean, so many young girls today are marrying 70 year old men... 13 years is nothing! :)

Yea it could work if you're on the same maturity level. But most times it can be a bit challenging because his outlook on life can be a lot different than yours. They say to date one who is no more than 4 years older because the woman's maturity is their equal. Whatever floats your boat and if he makes you happy, so be it.

I depends how old you actually are. If you're 13 and he's 26, then yes it matters!!!
If you're 50, and he's 63, then no, it shouldn't matter.
But, if you're somewhere in between those ages, it just depends, I think.
Guys don't mature as fast as us, either.
