I made 1200 chocolate chip cookies on the weekend as a fundraiser for a girl in my community who is quite ill and needs special treatment. What's a fair price? They're made with LOTS of chocolate, are fairly big, and at the risk of sounding arrogant, have become quite popular as they are very good. My donation is my time and ingredients, but I felt I could make a more substantial by turning that $50.00 into much more. What would you pay? Fifty cents each, 3 for a dollar? More, less?

They are not being sold all at once, but rather ,1 container at a time. Most are frozen right now!

That's awesome of you to do something so thoughtful, I'm sure the girl and her family will truly appreciate the support.

Don't worry about arrogance. Have you seen the prices at Mrs. Fields in the mall?

For a good cause such as this, I wouldn't bat an eye paying between a dollar and three dollars each for a large cookie. Maybe $1.50 each is a happy medium. And you could have a sign that boasts the generous ingredients, and indicates that the price is the minimum donation each, but all additional proceeds benefit the very worthy cause too.

All the best to you on this, and especially to the girl and her family

Sell some straight out... $0.50 each, or $5.00 a dozen. Contact the girl's school (if she is in school) and get the kids involved... recess bake sales for a child they know makes the other kids feel like they are helping (and they are!). It may even spiral, and others will donate as well.

Most schools (in Canada, anyway) have a rule about selling for personal gain. As long as you make it clear that the funds are a donation, you shouldn't have any problems.

And... thank you. The world needs more people like you.

At the beginning of the bake sale, 50 cents a piece if you have any left an hour before it closes, 3 for $1.00.
Good luck to you! I hope you makes lots of money for your cause.

I think that a fair price if 3 for a dollar. At my school, during lunhc, they sell cookies that are pretty big for two for a dollar. 3 for a dollar seems like a fair price.

The most you can get for them, people who will come will pay because they are expecting to spend, 50c seems reasonable, its for a good cause after all and if they are good cookies all the better!
