I'm due to fly to france on the 28th France for a feature film shoot and need a visa of course. I only found out about this job a week ago. I have try asking the French consulat this question but have had no reply. Their website states a 2 week minimun processing time, but I leave in just under 3 weeks. If any one can give some advice or someone to call, wedsite anything. Many Thanks in advance.

They should be able to mail it to you in less than 2 weeks, just be nice. They will let you expedite the shipping, too (you will pay for it, though). I wouldn't advise calling the consulat (they will just ignore your call), just go there in person. Beware though, the one I went to was only open until 1:00PM! Typical French....
