Do you think that our soldiers should be paid better than the president? I mean THEY ARE THE REAL HEROS HERE...NOT HIM.

the prez makes 200,000 a year...i've been in for 17 and make approx 49 k....

The president is paid a comparable wage to CEO's in some fortune 500 companies as he is this nations top CEO, and what relevance that has to what our soldiers get paid seems to escape me. And I was one of those soldiers and I felt i was adequately paid for what I volunteered for.

I think someone must of put something in your drink today, We have soldier who are living under welfare standards. Soldiers don't get paid by the hour so they make pennies,
The 22,000 troops he sending over 1 year pay Will probably pay them for the entire year of the Presidents. Are Armed Force aren't paid enough civilian contracts are making more than are soldiers for doing the same thing,

O.K., sure, I'm not a fan of the current President. However, I believe that our president (no matter who he is) earns every penny he makes.

It's a hell of a job. I don't know how they sleep at night with all the pressure.

... And that's coming from an army wife.

The military gets more time off too. They make about 400,000 less a year than the President. Some more and some less it all depends on rank.
