It is a berry because you can't differentiate the mesocarp from the exocarp.

Grapes are considered seeded berries, but unlike their competitors, black berries and raspberries, they are more picker friendly. VC

Yes, because they are smaller than your big toe and can be smooshed with your hands. Well it's not as easy to smush as a strawberry or a rasberry but never the less they can be smooshed with your hands!
