This is what dog people call "Counter Surfing". Lots of dogs do it- few pet owners like it!

Teach him to go to his mat and make sure he always gets fun treats on his mat.

Get a barrier of some sort to block off your kitchen when you're not there to watch him.

Never leave any food or dirty dishes on the countertops or in the sink. If there's nothing to get, he'll stop doing it.

get some training. any good trainer will teach you how to teach your dog to stay away from things yo don't want him touching.
wether it's a counter, a trash can, a cat......
if you have to, you just need to keep things out of his reach. he's no different than any other dog his size. if they can reach the counter, they are going to be tempted
.
your dog has Lab in him. very exciteable and not born with any manners. guess the breeders didn't tell you about that either, huh. if you wanted a poodle personality, you should have bought a poodle.
How's his coat? at 2 yrs old, i hope you have learned that they lied about that too.
you need to discipline your dog!! It's like you're asking for some magic solution to your problem. the dog needs to learn to stay off the counters.

Try saying "NO" eff the water bottle. he doesn't care. he needs to be pushed off of it when he's doing it. And you need to stand your ground. The sink is YOURS, not his. Push him away evey time he tries. and say "NO"
consistance is the essence. without it you are nowhere.
Don't rule out training collars like pinch or electric collars. but don't try them without the instuction of a professional trainer. and like the previous post said, don't use a chain store like petsmart or petco. seek out a reputable trainer.

You can also learn a lot by whatching cesar milan.

Keep a spray bottle near at hand and when he goes to get in the sink tell him no! and spray him in the face. The mixture in the bottle should be 3 parts water and 1 part white vinegar. It will sting some but won't hurt him. But you will have to be consistent with him. Should work I have used this many times on both dogs and cats.

Try putting up a large gate, and keeping all the sinks and counters clean. Then, after awhile he'll start to relize there's nothing in there for him. Or whenever you think he's about to go in the kitchen, tell him to get out before he's in there.

P.S. when you get a gate, make sure it's strong or you could buy a door, and build it in the kitchen entrence.

Oh man have I been here. When you have time to spend on training, set up your dog. Put things that are safe in view of your dog so as to make him try for it. As soon as you see him do it, you need to discipline him. If you don't have a good understanding of discipline then you need training. Not at Petco though, they only do positive reinforcement training as will rewards of food.

For discipline there is saying NO and jerking a leash connected to a choke chain. It's just a snap not a choke out or anything. There are remote shock collars but better to be trained to use these. Best of luck.

There are mats called "scat mats" they are powered by a battery and give a mild static shock when anything jumps on them. They can be placed anywhere and unlike squirting them with water...the mat is ALWAYS on duty so the dog cannot sneak in when your not around. Dogs learn very quickly with the mat.

You could also get a can with pennies in it, and quietly walk in and rattle the can or toss it on the counter (not at the dog) when you catch him on the counter.

It sure sounds like your labradoodle needs some training. I would recommend either a private trainer or a group. A dog that large and active needs to know what he can and cannot do.

I know this sounds cruel, but it's not as bad as it sounds. Most of the time it just catches their fur or they pull away in time and it just scares them half to death. Enough scaring that they wont do it again. Ok, here goes....line the countertops (about 1 foot apart) with mouse traps. Or some training would help!

Maybe you need to try a baby gate to keep the dog out of the kitchen

A counter surfer huh? We used to have one of them - well we still do but she doesn't do it now. You have to stop leaving food up there - you will have to make a really conscious effort to do this. If there are no irresitable smells up there then he will not go surfing! And if you do catch him in the act you have to make a loud noise he won't like, say for instance "AH AH - OFF!" When he gets off praise him like the smart dog he is. Don't smack him, this won't help.
