Why not? Only kids still let their feelings dictate their actions. Adults learn to let go of the past resentments and many couples not only remain friends after breaking up but grow even closer because they broke up!
The only wierd thing about this would be if you went by that stupid rule in the first place.

no it depends on how you react to what he does after the brake up if your cool seeing him with others girls ,ect. You have to really look at him as just a friend in hes not yours anymore and its really hard to do that, i try to stay friends with X's sometimes its hard cause i still like them.

well not for me. some of my guy friends have actually been my boyfriends and were still really close. i guess if you or the boy doesnt wanna be friends after yall brake up cause it would be too weird then thats how it is for you.

Of course you can! I've still got 3 guy friends that i've gone out with before (broke up) but those guys are still my best best best friends in the whole wide world!

i guess you could still be friends but, my gf broke up with me and she just wants to be friends but i still want more than that and it really hurts to just be friends.

i dont think that's true at all. sometimes you become even better friends than when you were in the relationship.
