I heard split ends are contagious! Are they? If you use someone's brush and they have splits ends, are you more likely to get them?

That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Split ends are basically a hair that splits into more at the end, due to dryness or time. Your hair is like a rope. After time, the ends of the rope fray, and so do strands of hair. The only thing you can get from using another's brush is lice.

No it certainly is not contagious! The only thing with hair that is contagious is head lice and head lice has nothing to do with split ends.

no they are not contagious, if you want to get rid of split ends then go to a hair cutter and have them ut them off, your hair will be much healthier.

NO, SILLY!!! BUT U COULD GET LICE, I HAD IT AS A CHILD, IT'S NOT FUN, SO DON'T SHARE BRUSHES, COMBS, HATS, BARETTES, PONYTAILS, OR ANYTHING ELSE THAT GOES ON UR HEAD...I'VE ALREADY BEEN TELLING MY 5 YR OLD THAT SO HOPEFULLY SHE WILL NEVER GET LICE IN THE FUTURE!!!
