Yahoo Answers is not that well designed for "debate" ...
But it is designed for a different type of exchange ... one side asks a sincere question to see what members of the other side believe. They respond. Asker may followup with "Additional Details", and that's it. Discussion closes.
This can be a great forum for discussing issues IF (big IF) both sides genuinely ASK QUESTIONS and really listen to the answers.
What Is totally pointless is when one side pretends to ask a question that is really
"Hey fools ... your side says . Isn't that ridiculous?"
In other words, too many people are graduating from school without learning what a "straw man" argument is.

I really hadn't noticed that was what yahoo answers was for. i thought it was for the pupse of getting serious questions answered, for information. And I have noticed that apart from that, people use it just to insult each other's points of view.
I really don't feel comfortable using Y A for the purpose of debating creation versus evolution - apart from the fact that I am tired of debating the subject. Whatever scientific information a creationist brings to the discussion, we will be told that we are brainwashed, etc. etc.

It's impossible to have a debate about this subject on here because anyone who believes in creationism is so quickly and rudely dismissed as being an idiot, that all chance for "debate" is lost. We CANNOT prove creationism to you. You who don't believe in it act as if you're enlightening us when you tell us that. WE KNOW ALREADY!! We choose to believe it based on faith--you choose not to. That is as much your right as it is ours! This creation vs evolution is like literally beating a dead horse. Give it a break already!!

Yes actually in 280 ad the Alexandrians took the Bible and removed the things that they did not like, this became:
American Standard
New American Standard
NIV
Mormon
Catholic and more
The two that are based on the original are New Living Translation, and KJV, trust me I know more about this then you do

Yahoo questions and answers are for questions and answers, not debate, not chatting, not personal crap.

I think you should be asking for the opinions of literalists, not creationists.
