When people say the "trunk" of the body- what body part are they talking about?

Well I always heard the expression "junk in the trunk" so I thought perhaps it might be the butt lol.

The "trunk" of a human body is the middle (torso). Think of it this way, just like a tree, limbs sprout out from a human trunk as well. These limbs are known as legs & arms.
