Give him some tips to look better.
Practicaly guide him to imprive.
Ask some of your girl friends to give him some gifts and roses.

Counselling might not be a bad idea, but at the same time I would say to also help him get away from the source of his feelings (whatever is making him feel that he is ugly. You can also keep reassuring him that he is not ugly. He sounds like he has low self esteem so he will need a lot of encouragement. It might take time for him to overcome those feelings that he is ugly, but just be patient. As long as he works at it and has lots (and I do mean lots) of support from his family and friends he will overcome it in time.

I've had friends do the same thing, just compliment them on something, just say she looks good today or you like her makeup/shoes/hair/perfume/cologne whatever you feel like complimenting them on, but it will build their confidence, it will be better if you can get several people to compliment her on something, it might take a week or two, but don't make it too obvious, spread out the compliments, don't get everyone to do it on the same day, and soon their confidence will be built up and they will feel better about themselves!

let him know everyone is not perfect. there is a lil "ugly" in everyone...I may have a pretty face but ugly feet. I may have a great body but bad breath. Or I may physically be perfect but have an ugly attitude....tell him to face it and find his good points.

Knowone is really ugly we were all created in gods image so we are all equal and i didnt even know i could go that deep=(ohh well and i really meant that just to tell you

You should rent and video The Elephant Man, and tell him to count his blessings. If he is able to walk around in public and not scare people he shouldn't be complaining.

hey dude. got to get u a picture. I can't tell if u r a girl or boy. if u r a girl just give him (or her?)a kiss. if it's the other way just give 'em a kiss. actually i like girls but don't promote me too quick. I was born that way.

Just tell him he's not ugly at all and encourage him with what you think about about his style!!! If you don't like his style try to give him a makover!!! Tell your friend good luck with his sytle!!!!!

Well he probly needs just a little confidence,and since your his friend...you should try to give him a little boost you know?
Maybe try saying, "You look handsome today" every once in a while.
