How come all that it takes is one person to like another and then all of their friends say that you two look like a cute couple? Or they ask, "What is going on between you two?"
Why do people assume that you are into one person just because the other person is into you?

It's cause all your friends want you to be happy. They think if someone likes you, or if you like someone, then you'd be happy if you were together. They don't assume that you are into someone just cause the person is into you, they just hope you are, and they are trying to encourage you to take a chance.

Hey, deutsche n' irish here too! Sometimes people interpret the lack of pushing someone away as allowing them to get closer. You may have to make it terribly clear (and in public) that you don't think of this person "that way". Just make sure that you mean it because if you're at all interested, once you do it, it's totally over.

Depends. Maybe the person who is being crushed on comes off as possibly being into the person that likes him/her. I'd just show signs/hints that I'm not into the person.. :D
