I realize she hasn't fallen in love at that point but I was just curious if it's a method of flirting..

No you shouldn't assume she does. She may really just like your hat! I am saying this beacuse it has happened to me! I made the "mistake" of complimenting and the guy took that as me being interested when really I just liked the shirt!! I am not saying it is a No ...just don't assume that she is interested

Not always. It could be that she really does just like your hat or whatever she compliments you on.

No, I would think she just likes my hat. Never assume..it will get you in trouble!

My guess is it doesn't necessarily mean that she "likes" you but that, at the very least, she has had an initial positive reaction to you and would like to get to know you.

you should assume she likes your hat you tard...believe it or not, it IS possible for people to greet and be curtious to someone without having a secret love fasination with them.

It depends on what else she does. Do you catch her eye occasionally, and does she smile? Does she make an effort to be around you?

No. Never assume anything about women. We hate that.

most women do not compliment because they are into themselves so if you find one that does compliment you, you might want to hang on to her!
