I prefer to buy books with less highlighting, but can always just use a different color highlighter to do my own ... so its not that big of a deal.

My college bookstore sometimes wont buy back my books if they are too amrked up, but I started selling mine back to an internet site anyways, they pay more and dont care about the highlighting... textbook411.com is the site, they rule!

I buy textbooks online for my college daughters. They both prefer to have NO HIGHLIGHTING - what's important to one person may not be important to the next user. Just make sure you are getting the correct edition.
