There are several things you can do for dry skin, of course the main thing being to drink lots of water to hydrate your body tissues.
Use olive or canola oil when cooking.
Eat lots of food rich in vitamin A
Make sure there is enough moisture in your house, houseplants are good for this or a wet towel over a radiator can do the trick too.
Add a little chamomile oil and a few mint leaves to a bath for healing qualities.
Cocoa Butter or vaseline are good moisturisers and they are good for guys or ladies as they do not have a perfume type scent with them, you can either apply in the bath so that the steam heightens the absorbancy or after the bath apply leave it for 15 minutes then wipe off the excess.

Take large quantities of Flax Seed Oil, Hydrate massively. Even eating an advocado will help in this instance.

Avoid sweets, alchohol, dairy - or anything that can cause rapid dehydration.

Put on a good moisturizer while skin is still damp from the shower. It will absorb better.
