I have noticed that a woman I work with (I believe she is of Muslim faith) (she told me once but people are people and I didn't think anything of it) anyway she is allowed to wear a nose piercing at work and I had to remove mine when I started here what religious beliefs would allow facial piercings such as this?

Maybe I didn't word my question right. I don't necessarily care that I can't wear my piercing I guess I shouldn't have mentioned that I was just using it to say that the bank I work for doesn't allow facial piercings. I just wondered if this particular item had religious significance .

I am Christian, but have absolutely no opinion on piercings, though I do not desire any.

Body piercing saved me the moment they nailed Jesus to the cross. God will accept you however you are. I will accept you however you are.

i have my lip pierced and tattoos and i cannot tell you how many times fundamentalist christians have berated me and told me i was going to hell because in the bible it says that you shouldnt alter your body in any fashion. i looked it up with my pastor one day and sure enough, its in there, but my pastor assured me that i wouldnt burn for my sins as long as i repented.
