I have a 7 year old westie that is an alpha type character. He get 's along fine with most dogs and has never been in a fight. Do any of you westie owners see a problem introducing a new dog to the household or is it no big deal ? I just would hate myself if I got another dog and my westie decided he still wants his own yard .

I think he would be fine, but just in case, have your old dog and the new dog meet for the first time anywhere but your house. Since this is not your westies territory, he shouldn't feel territorial. When you bring your new dog home, gradually let them meet. Don't go too fast with them or your dog might get upset.

Might i also suggest that you adopt a dog from your local shelter? Those poor babies! They need homes!

i have were given a 2 year previous male westie who i could not stay without. Westies could properly be dominate so that you'll exhibit who's the boss suitable from the starting up, else you are able to have truly some difficulty with them omit behaving. he's so pleasant with human beings and dogs and has a good personality. Even tho u dont see many westies doin it, they can do agility and enjoy education, my westie has only been nominated for perfect agility! I particularly have even were given an 8month previous border collie who he likes to bits!
