"X" being Greek symbol for Christ, this should be perfectly acceptable.

The ones who get worked up about (and they are a minority, although a VERY vocal one) are the ones who are completely ignorant of the history of their faith.

because they think its more persecution.

While they will never ever admit it, christians LOVE the idea of being persecuted for their faith.

They conveniently ignore the fact that they practically control the world, so they have to look for absolutely meaningless stuff like the term xian and pretend its TRUE persecution.

Once upon a time xians were TRULY persecuted, but that was a few 1000 years ago. The Lions were well fed in rome.

Now xian isnt any kinda persecution worth mentioning, but its all they got.

Actually I guess the reason each felt their own denomination is the only ONE true path and other denominations are falsehood. Hence when you said Xian, you are saying all denomination in general, in which they felt insulted as they supposed to be superior then the rest of the other denomination and generalising it means you are degrading them.

A training by their religion ..... :P

I'm Christian and I don't know what your talking about. I've never heard a fellow Christian get mad over the letter X before. After all it's only a letter!

Think it's slight against their belief system. Of course, slights, mispronunciation, misspellings, mis-information, slurs, and other bastardizations of other belief systems (religions) are fair game.

It reminds them of X -mas.

The secular conspiracy to try to take Jesus out of Christmas and replace it with unabaited piggish consumerism!
